Cherries, sweet (třešní) and sour (višně)!

Well, for two weeks we have feasted upon sweet and sour cherries. They simply are the fattest, juiciest, more delicious things we've ever tasted (and believe us, we've had all of the best that the States can offer)! Wow. These are tree-ripened and bursting with flavor. The sour cherries are so fat you almost have to cut them in half to get them in your mouth! And the sour cherries nearly rival the sweet ones. We'll have to investigate which cultivars they grow here....they're nothing like what we get in Minnesota.

The cherries and apricots that we bought from this vendor got us to thinking about creating some delights....we'll report on some of those soon!
